Advent at Our Lady Of the Mountains
- Adoration of Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament: Tuesdays 8:30-9:30am, Wednesdays 4:00-5:00pm, and Fridays 9am-5:00pm
- Wednesday Evening Talks: During the 5:30pm Mass each Wednesday there will be a teaching on our Blessed Mother. Learn how Mary is the new Eve, new Ark of the Covenant, and new Queen of Heaven.
- Bible Study: Each Monday morning at 9:00 in the Church Hall we meet to study the Scripture readings for the following weekend. A great way to learn the Bible and, like Mary, ponder the word of God in our hearts.
- Reconciliation: One of the best ways to prepare for Christ’s coming is to make sure we are free from sin. One of the precepts of the Church is that we need to go to the Sacrament of Reconciliation at least once per year, and so Advent is a great time to make a good Confession. Confessions are available 3:00-4:00pm Saturdays, 9:00-10:00am Fridays, 6:00-6:30pm Wednesdays and other times by appointment.
- Christmas Concert: Our Christmas tradition where we sing Christmas hymns together and read the Bible passages anticipating and recounting Jesus’s birth. A perfect way to get into the Christmas spirit right before the Holy Day itself. This will take place Saturday, December 14 at 5:30pm.
- Rorate Mass: A Rorate Mass is a Mass in honor of our Blessed Mother. It is celebrated early in the morning by candlelight. By rising early and awaiting the rising sun, we are reminded of Mary awaiting the arrival of her Son. We will celebrate this Mass at 6:30am on Saturday, December 21st.
